The girls’ hostel building on the HITS campus.
HITS provides secure, separate on-campus hostel accommodation for female students, with meals prepared in the institute’s fully automated kitchen.
The girls’ hostel is maintained as a separate, supervised facility on campus
Living on site places students within walking distance of the academic blocks, laboratories, library and auditorium — a genuine advantage when laboratory sessions, project work and workshops extend beyond conventional teaching hours — and gives residents ready access to the gymnasium, sports facilities and the regular yoga and meditation sessions.
Catering is handled through a fully automated campus kitchen, adopted specifically to keep hygiene and nutritional quality consistent across every meal. Wholesome meals are served daily to hostel residents.
The institute also runs a continuing programme on student welfare and safety, including sessions on gender sensitisation led by Mr
GHP Raju, IPS (Retd.), Additional Director General of Police, covering harmful stereotypes, discrimination, the legal framework around harassment, and building a respectful campus environment.
