The Department of Science & Humanities lays the academic foundation for every engineering programme at HITS. It delivers the first-year core in Engineering Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English Communication and Environmental Science, and drives the institute's Life Skills initiative — communication, critical thinking, leadership, time management and active listening. Through regular industry interactions, life-coaching sessions and workshops, the department helps students grow into pro-social, independent and responsible professionals, complementing technical education with holistic personal development.
