HITS holds official approval from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), operating the only privately-run Remote Pilot Training Organisation (RPTO) centre on a college campus in Telangana. Recognising the fast-emerging drone economy, HITS built this DGCA-approved facility to train students as certified Remote Pilots under India's civil aviation regulations.
In AY 25–26 alone, 24 HITS students earned their official DGCA Remote Pilot Certificates
hands-on, industry-recognised credentials that go well beyond classroom theory. Building on this momentum, HITS also launched the first college-based Drone Assembling, Repair and Service Centre, giving students end-to-end exposure to drone hardware, from assembly to certified flight operations.
